From the bay

Shops that trust their lift to us

“We added a two-post lift for our second bay and AK handled the whole thing — delivery, anchoring, safety check. On time, clean, and they walked my guys through operating it before they left.”
Marcus WebbAuto Shop Owner, Chicago
“I wanted a lift in my home garage and had no clue where to start. They sized one to my ceiling height, gave me a straight price, and the install was spotless. I use it every weekend now.”
James KowalskiHomeowner, Naperville
“Our old lift started dropping unevenly mid-shift. AK came out fast, sourced the parts, and had us running the next day. Fair price, and they showed up exactly when they said they would.”
Carlos MendozaService Manager, Schaumburg
“We run vans and dualies, so we needed the heavy-duty setup. AK spec'd the right lift the first time and coordinated the electrical so there was zero downtime. Professional crew.”
Dave ReinhartFleet Manager, Joliet
“Third lift I've bought over the years and the first one that was actually painless. Honest recommendation, no upsell, solid install. These are the guys I'll call next time.”
Tony CastellanoIndependent Mechanic, Cicero
“We needed two lifts installed with the shop still open for business. They scheduled around us, kept the bay clean, and everything passed inspection. Highly recommend for commercial work.”

Good to know

Common questions before you buy

A few things people ask us most. Don't see yours? Give us a call — we're happy to talk it through.

  • How much concrete do I need for a two-post lift?

Most two-post lifts need at least 4 inches of solid, reinforced concrete rated around 3,000 PSI — heavier-capacity lifts may need more. During your consultation we check your slab and tell you exactly what it takes to anchor safely.

  • What ceiling height do I need?

A good rule of thumb is 11–12 feet of clearance, but it depends on the model and the tallest vehicle you plan to lift. We size the lift to your bay so you never end up short on headroom.

  • Do I need special electrical power?

Most of our two-post lifts run on 220V single-phase power. If your shop or garage isn't set up for it yet, we coordinate the electrical hookup as part of the install.

  • How long does installation take?

A standard two-post install is usually done in a single day — delivery, anchoring, safety testing and a walkthrough. Larger or commercial jobs can take longer, and we give you a clear timeline up front.

  • Do you install lifts you didn't sell?

Yes. We install customer-supplied lifts and service all major two-post brands, so you're covered whether you buy from us or already have equipment on the way.

  • Do I need a permit?

It depends on your municipality — some Chicago-area towns require an electrical or building permit for a lift install. We'll let you know what's typical for your area when we quote the job.
